Spicy Mango Crumple Tie-Dye - sold out almost immediately!
It’s that time of year again. Just as fall is nigh, it’s time for the annual Pepperfest. This is now the 15th year in a row that people from all over North Carolina have celebrated just about everything you can do with a pepper. Creative chefs from miles around brought their best pepper based concoctions from pepper gelato to more conventional spicy pepper chicken kebabs….all with the hope of being crowned the Pepper King or Pepper Queen.
And this year, Pepperfest took place at its new home, The Plant, which also happens to be the home of Hempsmith and the Atelier. To celebrate Pepperfest this year, we decided to switch it up a little bit and offer something fun to festival goers.
We printed festival shirts on-demand on fresh Hempsmith tie-dyes. When you walk up to our booth, just pick your color, your size, and we screened printed your shirt on site. People loved the craft of watching their shirt come to life before their eyes….and also enjoyed actually having to wait for their clothing for once. It didn’t hurt that our booth was located right next to Fair Game Beverage Co. so people could grab a brew and sit at our table and hang out while their shirt dried.
Our new crumple design in the Jalapeño and Spicy Mango colors were huge success and sold out in pretty much the first hour. We’ll be ready next year with more stock now that we know that the festival shirts on-demand is the way to go.
